Keep the hire that improves your office.
Judge a new employee after training and reveal. Compare actual income in the same time unit, then give your limited desk space to the better earner.
Grab → train → reveal → hire
The official description makes the reveal a distinct step after the escape. In Bax’s run, employees have training timers and a Hire action before they start work. Some later hires take several minutes; one reported timer is seven minutes.
A glowing appearance or long training time is not a guaranteed income figure. Wait for the actual result before deciding which current worker to remove. Paid training skips appear in the video, but waiting remains an option.
Rarity: what is actually established
| Label / group | Source boundary | Decision to make |
|---|---|---|
| Legendary | Explicitly named in the official reveal description | Inspect the revealed employee and displayed income. |
| Secret, Mythic, Divine | Explicitly named as hunt targets in the official description | Look for current availability and compare the actual reward. |
| Rookie, Pro, Skilled, Expert, Elite | Labels spoken in the creator playthrough | Useful video context; this is not a complete ordered rarity table. |
Income examples from the playthrough
| Employee / context | Reported income | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Greta | 87 cash per second | An early worker example, not a fixed rate for every Greta. |
| Silus Robin (caption spelling) | 850 cash; the spoken line omits the time unit | Check the game panel before comparing to per-second figures. |
| Marcus / gold-dealer stage | 20,000 cash; the spoken line omits the time unit | Do not multiply by 60 without confirming the unit. |
| Jin / Axiom stage | 400,000 cash per second | A late-run example; boosts and updates may change your result. |
Make a fair replacement comparison
- Wait until the new hire is fully revealed. Record the new and old worker’s displayed rates.
- Convert both to the same time unit. A per-minute number cannot be compared directly with a per-second number.
- If you have a free desk, use it. If all desks are full, replace the lowest earner only when the new rate is better under the same conditions.
- Check the office total after the change. Keep training and speed spending separate from the actual desk-income improvement.
Worked example: one occupied desk
Example arithmetic, not a game stat: an old worker earns 60 cash per second and a new worker earns 90 cash per second. Replacing the old worker adds 30 cash per second, or 1,800 per active earning minute. Adding a new desk instead would add the full 90 per second if the old worker stayed.
Use the office planner with your own rates and purchase price when you need a saving-time estimate. The planner does not predict the rarity of your next hire.
